Digital Oil Painting from an original photo by the artist. Elegant and lovely is all that can be said about this years peonies. They flowered for the first time in my little English garden. Transplanted from the family farm, they were originally brought over from Germany in the early 1900's. What a gift to the behold!
About Liz Evensen
Creating art is a joy for me and leaves me with a tremendous sense of fulfillment. Just the smell of oil paint evokes in me an overwhelming desire to pick up a brush. Many artists will say they lose all awareness of time once they start painting. Only until their body tells them it's time to quit, do they finally concede. I'm no different. Often, I find myself going to bed as the morning light dawns. Producing a work of art is an adventure. I have an idea where I'm headed, but it's never exactly the same as what I have pictured in my mind. Painting is a journey of learning and discovery just waiting for the outcome to be revealed. Who doesn't love to get to the last page of a novel or the final scene in a movie to find out how...

Thank you Byron, this is a favorite of mine. I've always loved Georgia OKeefe's macro floral paintings and perspective. I find inspiration in her work. I ordered this in a large format canvas and it turned out awesome.
